What is Alert Me?
This a new Pilot feature within the Jiobit app. The feature allows the wearer of the Jiobit to signal an alert if they need help or assistance immediately. Once this feature is enabled, the wearer should press on the birdie button ( lower right corner) of the Jiobit. This sends an immediate notification to the admin or Care Team members.
In addition to this, there are customizable options like setting up a double or triple press to activate, selecting the device alarm, adding care team members, and more!
Enabling the Feature
To enable this feature in the app visit your dashboard view in the app and select "Menu". Then select "Notifications" and scroll to "Alert Me".
After those steps toggle on "Alert Me". You should see the toggle turn green ( as shown below). Then you can customize the following options below.
- Trigger Gesture: Provides the option for the wearer to press the birdie button two or three times to activate this feature.
- Device Alarm: Once enabled the Jiobit will sound a temporary alarm. Once the notification is received the alarm will cease. During this time the Jiobit will also flash a red light until the notification is received.
- Message: The message you input is what will be provided in the push notification to your or the care team members.
- Additional Receivers: This allows you to customize which care team members you would like to receive the Alert Me message.
Tip: Care Team members have to be added to the app prior to this option.
