The Jiobit and Jiobit App utilize various Radio Frequency (RF) technologies. In addition to Wi-Fi, Jiobit utilizes an RF technology called Bluetooth Smart, better known as Bluetooth Low Energy. While all modern smartphones have this capability, several older models may not. Make sure your smartphone is compatible in order for the app to run on your device.
- The Jiobit requires 2.4Ghz 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi access points.
- The Jiobit App requires at least iOS 10 to run, and all iPhone models must be with iPhone 5 or more recent.
- The Jiobit App requires at least Android 5.1 (Lollipop).
🚧 Android 8.1 (Marshmallow) Phones
Android 8.1 Marshmallow Smartphones introduced a persistent notification message informing you that certain apps run in the background. Jiobit is such an app. Don't worry, the Jiobit App does not consume a significant amount of battery (between 5-6%). Keeping the app running is required for optimal battery performance of the Jiobit. Exiting/closing the application will degrade the performance of your Jiobit.
